SUMMER 2010 CHARITY EVENT- CANCERVIVE

We are very proud to announce our second Charity event in Sussex. Cancervive is a fantastic charity who provide support networks for the family, friends and colleagues of cancer patients. Paul, founder of the Charity, and his two daughters Sarah and Rebecca have worked long and hard with us to organise this years Charity Motorcycle Ride Out on...

Saturday the 5th June 2010

After last years success we thought it only fit and proper to arrange another. It didn't take much arm twisting to make sure this one was even better than the last - so we decided to make things just that little bit different this year.

We are making this a weekend event with the Ride Out on a Saturday and camping and Bands on the Saturday night. We wholey encourage participants to plan their own Sunday Ride Out - Sussex is full of beautiful biking roads.

We are also going the other way round... missing out the ride through Brighton (was a nightmare last year!) but skimming past on the A27. We are arranging a meeting point at Albourne so that we may all gather together and go through Hurspierpoint en-mass, as this is the home town of the Cancervive.

THE VENUE - We aim to gather at 12noon at the Roebuck Inn in Laughton. Paul Mundy at the Roebuck hopes to provide tea, coffee and hopefully bacon butties before the ride off at 1pm.

All riders will be asked to purchase a ticket at £10 per person which will include a Hog Roast or Vegetarian alternative on your return - so keep your ticket safe!

You may purchase your ticket in advance by popping in to the TT Office at Groombridges (address below), calling Nikki on 07740627734 or emailing charity@ttmotorcycleschool.com

Tickets will be available from May 10th. Should you miss the opportunity to buy your ticket in advance we will be reserving some for the day. Ensure you ask for your ticket from one of the Cancervive staff.

THE ROUTE will take bikers skimming past Eastbourne, down the breathtaking coast road to Newhaven (where we hope to re-group so that the Press may get some classy shots of us on the Newhaven A26 road), pass Lewes and Brighton on the A27, up to the Albourne Road (B2118) for another re-group then take the B2116 through Ditchling - through Lewes and back to Laughton.....

You may download a pdf Route Map HERE - gathering points and petrol stations have been marked on en-route for your convenience.

You can download a Poster HERE - please do display where you can!

The route is roughly 79 miles long and will take around 3 hours.

The ride will culminate in a Hog Roast & Band with camping for all the family should you so wish. So get set up in good time, end your ride with hot food and a beverage of your choice and settle down for the evenings entertainment!
