| 'Get On' at the NEC Motorcycle and Scooter Show 20 |
We have not long returned from the Carole Nash Motorcycle and Scooter Show 2009 where TT Motorcycle School and a few other 'Get On' approved training venues were promoting the campaign by giving free half hour taster sessions in the comfort of the indoor NEC arena. Hundreds of Motorcycling hopefuls tried their hand at getting on two wheels and came away beaming - vowing to fulfil their long standing promise to their motorcycling enthusiast friends and family and go for it! Those who didnt make it to the stand in time to book their free taster still went away with all their questions answered and with the knowledge that they can still book their free ride... what a fantastic opportunity!
Despite the show itself being down by around 18% there was a good vibe in the Halls and combined with a little more room to move around fun was had by all. 'Get On' was a great feature at the show and will be appearing at many more events across the country in the coming year - so keep those eyes and ears peeled and when you get wind of this please do bring your family and friends along to see if Motorcycling is for them! |

| 'Get On' two wheels with TT Motorcycle School |
| You may have seen, heard or read about the national 'Get On' campaign designed to encourage all to Get On two wheels and either try out riding a motorcycle or scooter, or simply rekindle that passion. Apart from allowing all walks of life to try out riding and see if it's for them it supports research driven by the Motorcycle Industry Association which proves how much time we can waste sitting in commuter traffic (many of us know that stress!!) - and also to help reduce those dreaded carbon emissions.
Mike Loydall and Nick Stephenson from the Get On campaign came to assess our training venue for 'fitness for purpose' and due to our methods of training, ethos and dedication we are so very proud to have gained approval as a 'Get On' approved training venue in the UK. To take advantage of this we recommend checking out the Get On campaign website, register and select TT Motorcycle School as your preferred training venue - or simply email us! |

| More Moves for TT! Now at JW GROOMBRIDGE!! |
WOW It's been a busy year! After much deliberation and reviewing of needs/wants we have come to the decision to give up our premises in Burgess Hill. Of course this doesn't reduce our service to the residents in and around Burgess Hill as... well.. you can't get more mobile than a bike! Our use of the Burgess Hill test routes and a pending Module One site in the area means our services for those wishing to take up biking, progress their learning or get back into biking still remains local, and to be some of the best motorcycle training you can get in Sussex. As always you will get Quality Personal Tuition from a family run business. I digress....
The decision to reliquish our beautiful site in Burgess Hill wasnt easy.. however it's in the name of progress.. we are now SO PLEASED to be affiliated with and located at J W GROOMBRIDGE in Heathfield! "Groombridges" is an age old favourite motorcycle dealer & meeting place for bikers all over the South East of England. With CBTs in the centre of Lewes town and our On Road tuition from JW Groombridge, where our customers can be inspired by the fantastic array of machines, accessories and clothing (and with the sharp looking XJ6 Diversions for training bikes), we feel privileged to be in the business of bikes..... come up and see us! |

| Learner package deals at JW GROOMBRIDGE |

You can buy yourself a brand new bike or scooter - together with a free CBT, insurance, helmet, jacket, gloves and delivery of your bike to either your home or the CBT centre (us!) so that you can ride it home yourself! So if you REALLY want to go for it... check out JW Groombridge at www.jwg.co.uk today - or pop in for a chat with one of the Groombridge staff.. representatives of TT Motorcycle School will be on hand every Saturday throughout the promotion to answer any questions you may have regarding your CBT. | Cancervive Charity Ride Out! |
We are very proud to have just completed our first Charity event in Sussex. After many successful charity ride outs in Nottinghamshire in the past 6 years we felt it only right and just to put to good use our passion for biking here in Sussex. Around 200 bikes of all makes and sizes took part and enjoyed the fantastic views around sussex and down the coast.
We raised over £1000 for Cancervive a fantastic charity who organise support for the family, friends and colleagues of cancer patients. Paul, Rebecca, the family and committee at Cancervive worked long and hard with us to organise the Ride Out which took place on Sunday the 28th June 2009. For those who took part, or indeed anyne who knows 'anyone' who took part we have pictures of just about every biker who joined us... they are available for purchase with all proceeds going to Cancervive - click here to see the pics.. and should you wish to purchase any, download this PDF form and send to Canvervive - instructions on the form. We shall be arranging an event for Cancervive each Summer... so keep your ears and eyes peeled! it will be bigger and better than this year! That's a promise... | NEW DSA MOTORCYCLE TEST POSTPONED! |
| Well after much to-ing and fro-ing... and being led from pillar to post and round the bend the DSA have decided to postpone the new test until March 30th 2009.
To cut a very long laborious story short the DSA decided to re-structure the test, making it a 2 part test, carrying out the first part 'off road' (primarily to keep the public safe from those who might not actually quite make the grade with the emergency stops, u-turns and figure of eights...). To do this they needed to secure a number of 'Multi-Purpose Test Centres' (MPTC) designed to enable the first part of the test to be carried out safely.
Well they didn't secure NEARLY enough of these MPTC's so in the end they had to postpone... so for now we can all carry on with the usual test - at the usual places... so if you'd like to avoid having to trek up to Burgess Hill and yonder to do the 2 past and slightly more expensive test please do call and book in your DAS or hourly training now! |

| Annual TT Toy Run.16 December |
| Hi Everyone,
An update on the forthcoming charity event. The Toy Run will be leaving the Civic Centre in Mansfield at 1pm and riding through the centre of Mansfield and into Sutton in Ashfield and ending up at the Hospital. Hot drinks are being provided by Medirest to warm us up at the end. We hope that we will see as many of you as possible to make this year bigger and better than ever!. There is a small criteria to meet on the toys in that sealed toys are ideal to prevent any infection, so colouring books, crayons, selection boxes etc would be fantastic. | Easter Egg Run Success-Thanks from PASIC |
| Hi Alan & Simon
It's Bea here from PASIC, the group that you donated some of your Easter Eggs to. It's been so busy in the last few weeks that I cannot remember whether I sent you a thank you note or not! If I haven't I'm so sorry and if I have this will be a bonus!
I looked at your website to see if I could find an email address and I saw your 'Latest News' page, so I thought it would be nice if I wrote a thank you for that, what do you think? Well here goes anyway!
An 'eggstra' special thank you to Alan and Simon of TT, as well as all those people that turned up at Mansfield Civic Centre on 8th April 2006 for the Easter Egg Run. Around 100 bikers took part and almost 300 eggs were donated to PASIC (Parents Association for Seriously Ill Children) www.pasic.org.uk and to Robin Hood and Blandy Wards at Kings Mill Hospital. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you all ride through town, that must have been quite a sight! I was glad to meet so many of you at Kings Mill and thank you personally.
At PASIC we support families of children diagnosed with cancer and the eggs that we received were given to children at the Easter Parties that we held for them. We had such on overwhelming response to the Easter Egg appeal that the children had at least two eggs each!!!!!! Lots of chocolately faces and fingers!!!!!
Thank you all so much for your support and generosity, without people like you we wouldn't be able to offer the support that we do to the families.
Best wishes
Bea Brunton
PASIC Coordinator

| Motorcycle Hire |
| We are pleased to announce that as of 14 September 2005 we are able to offer motorcycle hire of both 50cc and 125cc machines.
This has been undertaken in response to the large amount of requests we have received from people who have recently completed their CBT training who are unable, or do not wish, to meet the costs of buying their own bike.
We hope that this will be a useful facility to our pupils and allow them to gain the practical ongoing experience of the open road which will help prepare them for their DAS training.
Please contact Alan or Simon for further details. |
